Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu was born in America. Liu is an American actor, singer and voice actor. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she's a great inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. After a series of initial performances in popular shows her fame was boosted after joining the cast of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. After her success, she landed important part in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. Around this same time she was also in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen roles failed to bring her much success. A recurring role in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain her status as an actress of note. Liu is extremely careful when picking her roles so that she's not a typecast. Though she has embraced her roots she has not allowed it to restrict her artistic abilities.
