Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift let go of the influences from her country music as if they were an additional layer of skin and revealed she was one of the most talented singers/songwriters in the generation she was born into. Swift could make the moment personal or harness the moment to benefit. The skills she displayed are evident in some of her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless released in 2008 Swift discovered the person she was and reach a wide audience. The album ended up with a lot of legs not only within the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the world, with a particular success in the U.K. Canada and Australia. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this success and moved Swift towards the top of stardom. She grew in popularity throughout her three subsequent albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in an industry she felt was hers to be. Even though she had slowed the production of her folklore album, and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was still leading the way in pop music.
