Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker. Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish as well as English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. They lived at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria region of London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was obligated to accept her. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet.
